I’m a writer and editor based in Bangor, Maine. I have more than 20 years of experience in a diverse array of media platforms. I am the audience engagement editor for the Bangor Daily News, where I also write a longtime Maine history and culture column. I am the author of “Downtown, Upriver: Bangor in the 1970s” (Islandport Press, October 2023).

I’m a Maine native and graduate of the University of Maine, and I’m a longtime chronicler of Maine and New England culture, specializing in subjects including the arts, food, history and pop culture. In addition to my work with the Bangor Daily News, my work has appeared in publications including USA Today, Boston Magazine, Maine Magazine, the Portland Phoenix and Maine Alumni Magazine. I have extensive experience in social media, website management and video editing, as well as in radio, TV and podcasts.

I live in a 160-year-old house in Bangor with my husband, my dog and my cat.
